While we share useless stats, who had the better +/-, Erie?

Thoughts:
Colts allowed 2 goals on 7 penalty kills while scoring 1 goal on just 2-man advantages. Barrie has been great at killing penalties this season as they still lead the OHL in penalty minutes. Leo Lazarev was good most of the night making 34 saves on 39 shots. Lazarev has been great in goal but Barrie would really do him a favour in limiting opposing teams power play chances. The team needs to keep the intensity they have played with, however, they need to do it in a way that doesn’t have them constantly killing penalties.

Notes:
  • After last night, Andrei Svechnikov now leads the league in goals (10) and points (14).
  • Alexey Lipanov is tied with Sean Durzi (OS) for most assists with 10.
  • Colds did a decent job at faceoffs winning 31 of 57. Willms lead the way winning 11 of 19.
  • The Colts win has them in 1st place in the Eastern Conference and tied for 1st in the league with the Soo Greyhounds.

The Colts next game is Saturday at BMC when they host the North Bay Battalion. The game is set to start at 7:30. There are rumours that our own Ryan Noble will be on BIG 101 to talk Colts during intermission. Follow him on Twitter to find out more leading up to puck drop.
