Though it has not been announced on social media by the team, the Barrie Colts have named Cordell James the teams new Captain. Credit to Gene Pereira on Twitter for announcing the news.
Cordell James replaces Michael Webster who was the teams captain last season in his OA season. Webster has since signed a deal with Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins of the AHL.Barrie Colts name Cordell James team captain.— Gene Pereira (@GenePereira1) September 23, 2016
As for assistant captains, Gene added in a following tweet that they would alternate players during the season.
Cordell is set to play in his 4th season with the Colts. Over his time in Barrie, he has played in 198 regular season games posting 33 goals and 47 assists for a total of 80 points.
