Zach Hall wore 28 with the Colts for four seasons. Barrie drafted him 48th overall at the 2009 OHL Priority Selection. In 2010-11 he played in his rookie season with the team. Over 38 games that year, Zach posted 8 goals and 4 assists.
2012-13 was his best OHL season production wise. Hall finished the year scoring 24 goals with 57 assists. He also had an outstanding playoff run with the team putting up 7 goals and 21 assists in 19 games. Pretty impressive when you consider he was putting up an average of 1.47 points per game in that run.
2013-14 was his final season in the OHL and saw him named an alternate captain. The season ended with him getting 16 goals and 54 assists in 57 games. 4 seasons and 221 games and Zach would total 68 goals and 156 assists for a total of 224 points, averaging more than a point a game over his career. In 33 playoff games he scored 13 goals and added 29 assists, averaging 1.27 points per game.
Zach Hall’s 221 points is 7th most in team history. His also has the 5th most assists in team history with 156. Only Bryan Little (189), Daniel Tkaczuk (189), Kevin Labanc (188) and Hunter Tremblay (159) have more.
After completing his OHL career, Zach went on to play with St. Thomas University until 2016-17 when he joined the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Hall played just two games there before getting traded to the Allen Americans. In 35 games he would finish the season off with 19 assists and totaling 30 points.
The Barrie Colts home opener is Thursday, September 21st when the host the Ottawa 67's.
